This week I want to talk about something that I think is really important- body confidence.
Now a days there is so much pressure on us to look and dress a certain way, don’t get me wrong I love insta as much as the next girl but it gives us a tinted view of life. I caught up with my pocket rocket personal trainer Jenna to talk all things body confidence.

There are so many variations of body confidence from body positivity to body neutrality but to Jenna body confidence means feeling happy in your own skin no matter you shape or size. This is something I completely agree with because self love is so important.
For me when I eat right and get the endorphins flowing in the gym I feel so much more confident, something Jenna echoes saying that nutrition and exercise could play a role in increasing body confidence but nowadays “looking good seems to trump feeling good”.
Learning to love yourself and the skin your in isn’t easy so Jenna and I have a couple of tips on how you can start to feel body confident.
- STOP comparing yourself to others, the only person you should be competing with is yourself and if that means unfollowing people on Instagram do it!
- Take the focus off looks and think about your health and well being. Take a day to pamper yourself, put down your phone and eat some feel good food.
- Wear what makes you happy! For me fashion is my armour and I truly believe the right outfit can lift your mood and your confidence.
Body confidence isn’t something that comes overnight but it is so important! The journey to self love and confidence is a marathon not a sprint, take your time and it will come!
