Dealing with results day!

Hey Dolls,

With GCSE and A-Level results coming up, I thought I’d give you all 5 top tips to dealing with the day!

  1. Support- make sure on the day you have family/friends around you to keep you calm
  2. Use the teachers available on the day- chances are they have dealt with lots of results days and will be able to help with any questions you have
  3. Eat- I know its hard to eat when you are nervous but even if its a biscuit you will feel so much better for it
  4. Use natural remedies- if you are a really nervous person use products like Rescue Remedy to keep those nerves under control!
  5. Don’t panic- no matter what your results are (hopefully they are what you want!) there will be plenty of options for you!

Good luck to everyone receiving results this August! I hope you all get what you need to do what you want to do!

Holiday Essentials!

Hey Dolls,

This week I want to share with you all of my holiday essentials, from shoes and accessories to skincare and beauty, I’m going to give you a run down of it all!

Packing for a holiday can be really stressful so I like to make sure I make a list and include everything I want, I also try to plan all of my outfits so I’m not just chucking random things in!

Let’s start with clothes and accessories-

  1. A maxi dress- can easily be turned from a daytime to night out by changing your shoes!
  2. Playsuits- save space on packing and makes getting dressed super easy
  3. A black or white bikini- perfect to throw under any coverup
  4. Flat sandals- a pair that you can wear for days out and for dinner in the evening
  5. A pair of wedges or heeled sandals- for those nights you want to look extra glam!
  6. A big beach bag- perfect for holiday all of your pool/beach essentials (highly recommend my girl FAB Designs for bespoke beach bags)
  7. Clutch bag- one that matches every outfit you take!
  8. Hoops- hoop earrings can glam any outfit up!!

On to skincare and beauty products!

  1. Suncream & aftersun- these are a must to protect your skin, use a higher SPF on your face for extra protection
  2. The Fox tan spray and lotion- can’t recommend these enough for deepening your tan
  3. A hydrating face mist- always good to have to cool you down!
  4. Aloe vera gel- this is perfect for almost everything (including sun burn)
  5. A body scrub
  6. A hair mask- the sun always dries out hair so prevent it by taking a hair mask with you! Garnier do tester size ones which are perfect for traveling with!

Keep an eye out for my holiday makeup bag, and if you are going away I hope you have an amazing time!

Summer Skincare

Hey Dolls,

I’ve hit the milestone of 50 blog posts!

Today I am going to share with you my summer skincare routine and all the products I have been loving using on my skin!

A good skincare routine is so important and I always make sure I remove my makeup properly, whilst avoiding makeup wipes as much as possible!

IMG_0233

Let’s start with the morning- this will always be something quick as I am never awake enough for anything too intense! I remove any excess oils from my skin with the Nip n Fab cleansing pads, I change which ones I use each time I run out! Then I grab my Liz Earle instant tonic boost, pop on some moisturiser and my eye cream and I’m good to go!

My evening skin routine depends if I’ve been wearing makeup or not. If not I go straight in with my Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser, if I have been wearing makeup I start by removing it with micellar water and cotton pads. After cleansing I’ll either use my Liz Earle tonic or Caudalie beauty elixir. Even though it’s summer and my skin is oilier I still love using face oil, my fave at the moment is Caudalie overnight detox oil which leaves my skin feeling plump and hydrated. To finish off I use my holy grail eye cream- Lancome genifique yeux light pearl, not only is the metal applicator super cooling but it is fantastic for brighting dark eyes!

Finally I’ll add a couple of products I love that I use in the summer!

  1. Superdrug Vitamin E hydrating mist- great for refreshing your skin
  2. Nip n Fab Glycolic Scrub- I use this a few times each week to exfoliate my skin
  3. Glam Glow Supermud & L’oreal Detox clay mask- I love using these once a week
  4. Garnier Moisture Bomb Sheet mask & Origins Drink up- I also use these hydrating masks once a week, to give my skin a boost!
  5. Dior Glow lip balm- hint of colour with SPF, the perfect summer lip product!

University: Year 2

Hey Dolls,

As my uni blogs last year went down really well, I thought I’d do a few more this year so look out for- finding a uni house and finding your placement.

After a crazy long summer (not that I’m complaining) I couldn’t wait to get back to uni and get going with 2nd year! My friends and I couldn’t resist heading to a few freshers events, and ended up leading a bar crawl!

Second year was so much more interesting for me as I had more of a say in which modules I took, which meant I could focus on marketing, social media content and got a chance to complete a law module.

Getting back into the swing of uni was really easy and it was so nice to be living with who I wanted, in our lovely house! 2nd year was full of work but most of my assessments were oddly enjoyable apart from business law which was super intense and made me really happy I didn’t choose a law degree! Although it was really interesting!

The intensity of academic studies had definitely increased but with my amazing society and fab friends everything was nicely balanced. Acapella got bigger and better 2nd year with us being able to do perform lots more and attend more university events! We were also nominated for 2 awards which was fab!

I was also lucky enough to be part of RAG committee for the SU working with a great team to raise money for three amazing causes!

Over all second year was fab- more opportunities, interesting modules and great people! Roll on placement year!

Travel with me:Ibiza!

Hey Dolls,

After a long absence from my blog, I’m back! There have been lots of reasons I haven’t had time to blog properly but now I’m ready to get going again!

I thought for my first blog back I’d fill you all in on my holiday with my bestie to Ibiza!

We went to Ibiza for a week, it was Soph’s first girls holiday and we were both really looking forward to it.

We booked our holiday through jet2.com and were really happy with our hotel (despite the food being very repetitive and not the best). It was a cute room, kind of like a mini villa with a nice garden area.

Our week was really nice and relaxing but we did enjoy a night out with a bunch of German’s from our hotel which meant a classic Soph and Sabs dance floor takeover!

We also decided to splash out and hit Nikki Beach for their Amazing Sunday’s, and it was a delicious brunch buffet with unlimited champagne plus a saxophonist and violist! Highly recommend and was definitely worth the money!

We have already started planning out next holiday and had an amazing time!
