My Designer Wish List!

Hey Dolls,

This week I thought I’d share with you my dream designer purchases, they aren’t in any particular order but these are the things I would love to buy in the future.

First up is the classic Chanel bag, I’m not sure what size I would like but I have always wanted to own one. An iconic bag, perfect for any outfit!chanel bag

Staying with bags, I have always loved Louis Vuitton and from a very young age have dreamed of owning Louis Vuitton luggage in particular the Keepall 60. I don’t want a suitcase as I would be worried about it being damaged at airports!

My final bag I would love to own is the Prada Galleria bag, another classic, which I would use as my work bag (when I graduate and get a job!)

prada

Onto shoes, I have 3 pairs of designer shoes I would love to own and the brands they are from are Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik and Christian Louboutin.

From Jimmy Choo I would love a nude pair of Romy 85’s, a sensible height and classic style!

From Christian Louboutin, Fifi Patent 100, again classic and perfect for every outfit from day to night!

louboutin

A less practical shoe but there was a reason Carrie Bradshaw loves them, Manolo Blahnik create classic styles with added bling, basically my dream shoe! The style I love is Olek in black- simple, classy and elegant!

GRWM: Summer Wedding Guest

Hey Dolls,

This week I’m going to take you through getting ready for a family friend’s wedding from hair to shoes, lets go!

First up was hair, me being me no way was I having the stress of doing it myself so the lovely stylist Maria came to my rescue! I went for a up do with on trend braiding and a few loose pieces.

Usually for an event I would have my makeup done professionally, but unfortunately my usual artist was already fully booked (she’s fab so I understand why!) so it was down to me!

As I was wearing a pink and cream outfit I wanted the makeup to compliment it so decided for a pink/champagne eye with a pink gloss (easier maintance). I started with eyes and to achieve the look I wanted had to use an array of shadows and some blushes! Here’s the shadow list not in order: Makeup Geek – peach smoothie, whimsical, MG Blush- head over heels, romance, Too Faced- Strawberry Bon Bon, Tartelette- caregiver, wanderer, Bobbi Brown blush in 41. For glitter I used Too faced glitter glue as a base with Barry M snowglobe. Liner was brown as softer and L’Oréal infallible finishing with Eyelure Luxe Lashes in Trinket!

On my brows I used Benefit precisely brow in shade 3, ABH clear brow gel and the light shade in sleek contour palette to carve out.

For base I used my trusty old faves! Primer- Too faced hangover, Foundation- Chanel perfection lumiere velvet(50), Concealer- Nars creamy in custard and vanilla, Bake- Laura Mercier loose powder, Powder- Rimmel stay Matte, Contour- NYX powder kit, Bronzer- Nars Laguna, Blush- Makeup Geek Romance, Highlight- ABH x Nicole palette Kitty Kat and day dream, Setting spray- Urban Decay all nighter!

Onto lips: Liner- Charlotte Tilbury pink Venus, NYX butter gloss in vanilla cream pie!

Nails- The Beauty Yard (all about nails blog coming soon!)

Finally it was outfit time! Dress- New look (alterations by The Dressmaker), Jacket- Zara, Shoes- ASOS, Facinator- The Dressmaker!

My 10 Holy Grail Beauty Products!

Hey Dolls,

Today’s post is all about my beauty favourites and must haves!

I’m going to start with the base and work up! So up first is the Too Face Hangover Primer! This stuff is incredible!! Not only does it smell amazing, it creates the perfect base for my foundation and has fantastic staying power!

The next product is one I haven’t heard many people talk about and I think is very underrated!  I’m talking about Nars Pro Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base. OK this is like glue! SOO much better than the Urban Decay eye shadow primer, works great with eyeshadow straight on top and doesn’t need setting, or under concealer on your eyelids. This is the first shadow primer I’ve used that never leaves me with creased eyes!! Highly recommend!!!

Now to foundation and concealer! First up is an expensive one but its soooo worth it! Chanel’s Perfection Lumiere Velvet foundation. This is the first full coverage foundation I’ve found that feels light and doesn’t look cakey! It’s my go to when I have a tan and I absolutely love it! My next holy grail is one that most beauty bloggers/vloggers rave about and I’m going to join them! Nars Creamy concealer! I have it in two shades and am on my third tube of vanilla! This is the only concealer that properly covers my dark circles and doesn’t crease!

Onto powder products now and I have two! First up is another Nars product (sorry they just slay the makeup game) and its their bronzer in the shade ‘Laguna’. OMG! Best bronzer I’ve ever used, I have purchased multiple times! Not orange and blends beautifully! I totally joined the hype with this next one! Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector in ‘Champagne Pop’. This highlighter is INSANE! Super pigmented, amazing quality just amazing!!

Moving onto lashes and brows. I could not do a holy grail list and not include the queen of brown products Anastasia Beverly Hills! Her brow products are THE BEST! I have the Brow Definer, Brow Wiz, Dipbrow Pomade and clear Brow Gel! I even got my mum in on the hype and now she loves the Brow Wiz! I don’t think I will use any other brow product brand for a long time!!!

Lash time now! First up is mascara and I’ve chosen Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lash Mascara, it does not disappoint! It lives up to it’s promises and lengthens, volumises, curls and adds drama without leaving my lashes clumpy! AMAZING!! I’m an Essex girl at heart so of course there had to be some falsies in this list and the winners are Ardell Demi Wispies! I adore these lashes, I keep at least 5 sets of them in my draw! They are super easy to apply, blend nicely with my natural lashes and look great with any eye look!

I’m not sure if this counts as a beauty product or not but its going on the list! My signature fragrance, I couldn’t even tell you how many bottles of this I’ve bought! This perfume is my go to, Chloe original scent! OMG, best smelling perfume ever (in m opinion), it lasts all day and I loveeee it!!

Simple Summer Makeup

Hey Dolls,

Today I’m going to give you the lowdown on my simple quick summer makeup to give you that natural glow. This look takes me 5-10 minutes and I’m done.

So first comes the base, I start with Clarins Beauty Flash Balm all over my face after moisturising to not only give my makeup a base but also give me a healthy glow, if you wanted to create a look with more coverage you could add a BB cream or light weight foundation but I don’t. Next up I use a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to buff Chanel Soleil Tan cream bronzer to give that bronzed summer goddess look. Before I conceal and set my face I apply a cream highlight two I have been loving are the Topshop Glow Pot and Collection Speedy Highlight Chubby Stick, the reason I do this before concealer is because my concealer creases fast because of the way my eyes are and cream products always look better before any powder is applied.

Now the only part of this look that gives coverage is the concealer, I use Nars Creamy Concealer in ‘Vanilla’ under my eyes to make me look more awake, as well as on my eyelid to form a base for eyeshadow and ‘Custard’ on any spots or redness as it is a similar colour to my skin. I blend the concealer out with a damp Beauty Blender to make sure there is no caking and then set my entire face with the Laura Mercier Loose setting powder in ‘Translucent’ avoiding the highlight because we do not wanna dull that glow!

The final part of this look is eyes and lips, so let’s finish off! For my eyes I use any shimmery shade from the Bobbi Brown Deluxe Lip and Eye kit, all the shades are super pretty and I just apply it all over my lid with any brush, I then curl my lashes using the Shu Umera lash curlers (the best ones I’ve ever used in my life, so worth the price tag!!) and apply Benefit’s Roller Lash or They’re Real Mascara. Time for brows- for my brows I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer in ‘Soft Brown’ and focus on the tail and arch to give a more natural look and then I use the spoolie on the other end to brush the product through the front of my brow, setting them with Benefit Gimme Brow (now in different packaging since their brow relaunch) and applying the lights shimmer shade from the same palette to my brow bone. For lips I use my ride or die lip balm- Elizabeth Arden 8Hour Lip Treatment and for a natural look the Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfector in the colour ’05’.

Final step is to set the look with whatever setting spray I’m using at the time and you are good to go!

Remember darlings don’t let anyone dull your sparkle!
