Charlotte Tilbury: Instant Look Palette!

Hey Dolls,

This week I’m going to be reviewing the Charlotte Tilbury’s Instant Look in a Pallette, so let’s go!

I chose the “Beauty Glow” shade of the palette, and oh my I have not been disappointed, literally since the palette arrived on my door step I have used it for my makeup EVERY day!

The palette contains 3 eye shadows, 2 blushes, a bronzer and highlight- let’s start with the shadows!

The 3 shadows are in brightening, enhancing and smoke- a pearly white, shimmery bronze and Matte medium brown. The shadows are super pigmented creamy and bendable and last all day without any movement.

Next up bronze and highlight, the bronzer is a perfect shade not too orange or too cool toned and the highlight is a beautiful subtle gold buttery shade that provides the perfect glow!

Along with a huge mirror the palette is completed by Charlotte’s signature swish and pop blush combo resulting in the perfect easy makeup look in one palette. Once again Charlotte Tilbury has smashed it!

Highly recommend you pop this on your Christmas list!

My Favourite Lip Glosses!

Hey Dolls,

This weeks post is a short and sweet one! As we are now in spring and getting close to summer I thought I’d share with you my favourite glosses we can all start stepping away from the Matte lips!

These aren’t in  any particular order, so let’s she what made the cut!

IMG_7775

First up is a nude gloss from Charlott tilbury, I love her lipgloss formulas as they aren’t sticky or too glossy so they are great for a more natural look. The first of 2 that are in my favourites is “Seduction” a lovely browny pink nude.

Next is one of 2 YSL Tint in a Oil glosses that I love! This is a super glossy, moisturising formula and works as a tint as well as a nourishing lip iref colour is in no 5 which is a bright pink, but as it’s an oil the colour is quite sheer making it very wearable.

Now is the second Charlotte Tilbury shade in the colour “Portobello Girl” this beautiful pink has gold shimmer running through making it a perfect accompaniment to any make up look.

The final brand duplication is the second YSL shade in the colour no 4. This is a much paler pink which works great for those no makeup days when you still want something more than a lip balm on your lips.

Now for my 2 high end lipgloss faves which I personally think are definitely worth the little bit extra money. My all time favourite gloss is Marc Jacobs “Some Girls” the colour is beautiful, the formula is great it’s not sticky at all and is long lasting and the pigment is fab! I definitely want to purchase a few more shades as I loveeee this lip gloss!

My final lip gloss is one from Burberry, I was gifted this gloss for my birthday and I love it. It’s not as glossy as the Marc jacobs ones which makes it perfect for topping off a matte lip or for the days when you want something inbeteeen a gloss and Matte lipstick! I have the colour “Nude Beige no 17” and use it in 3 different ways: over mac whirl or velvet teddy for a little bit extra oomph, on its own or with a nude lip liner to create super pouty lips!

Let me know what your favourite glosses are in the comments below!

Mini Charlotte Tilbury Haul!

Hey Dolls,

I have a mini makeup haul for you beautiful people today!

Like many girls I absolutely love Charlotte Tilbury’s makeup range, her products and packaging are gorgeous however her products are quite pricey so I decided to treat myself after a very stressful term at Sixth Form of coursework, mocks and revision.

IMG_0204

I decided to take the plunge and purchase 4 makeup products and a new liner sharpener as I was in desperate need of a new one which was good quality after having lots snap and break which sucks!

The first two products I bought were the Colour Chameleon Shadow Pencil’s. I got the two for brown eyes in Dark Pearl (top left swatch) and Amber Haze (top middle swatch). The Dark Pearl colour is for day and Amber Haze for night. Now although I have dark brown eyes I find both of these colours super dark if I just apply them all over my lid straight from the pencil for the day time so what I’ve found works really well for a softer look is applying the colour to the centre of your lid and blending it out with a big fluffy shadow brush. The colours are beautiful and super pigmented, so for me all over straight from the pencil is perfect for creating a dramatic evening look. The formula is super creamy and unlike some other cream shadow sticks I’ve tried I get absolutely no creasing or smudging especially when I use an eyeshadow primer underneath. I will definitely be purchased some more of these in the lighter colours for a perfect spring/summer day time look.

I already have a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick from the K.I.S.S.I.N.G collection in Bitch Perfect which I love and after seeing the quality I knew I needed to try a gloss as the summer months draw closer! I adore this colour which is Portobello Girl (bottom left swatch) it is just the perfect pinky peach gloss for spring and with glowing skin and soft gold eye it looks perfect! I was not disappointed with the quality of the gloss, it is one of the best pigmented glosses I’ve used, it’s not sticky and it actually lasts instead of coming off in 10 minutes like lots of other lip glosses! I will definitely be buying more!

My final product was the Film Star on the Go palette in Rebel without a Cause. Now I was so excited to use this palette but was left a little disappointed and for £42 that was not good. The packaging is stunning and the pink lip and cheek colour (bottom right swatch) is beautiful, its really pigmented and blendable. When I put it on my lips it is also really moisturising. The thing I was disappointed with was the gold shadow, when I swatched it I loved the formula it was really creamy but felt like it would go from cream to powder. However the pigmentation is rubbish for a gold shadow especially when you compare it to amber haze and Urban Decay’s Half Baked. Not only was the pigmentation not great it was super difficult to apply with a brush as I got no coverage, the same with my finger it just moved about and when I eventually got it on it creased in a few hours so I was not impressed especially as the quality and pigmentation of all the other products are bought was amazing!

But I would 100% recommend any of the other products I purchased!
