Nars Afterglow Tinted Lip Balm!

Hey dolls,

This week I’ve got a review for you of the new Nars lip balm collection. The Afterglow collection has been all over Instagram lately with a tonne of influences testing it out so I wanted to see what all the fuss was about.

I personally love a tinted lip balm, especially in the summer as they are perfect for those no makeup days or for a more natural look.

So let’s get into it! I purchased the lip balm in the limited edition shade ‘orgasm’, the namesake of the cult blusher and I think it’s good value for the price of £23. I would usually expect to pay the same for lip products from other brands.

Next onto packaging and what girl doesn’t love a bit of rose gold? The packaging is so pretty which is always a bonus!

In terms of colour, the pay off is pretty good leaving a lovely pink flush on your lips, perfect for those natural makeup days. The lip balm itself is nice and hydrating leaving and made my lips feel nourished. My one little annoyance with this lip balm though is that after you’ve eaten it separates a little rather than fading away.

Overall, I love this lip balm and would definitely recommend popping into your basket next time you are out and about or online shopping in your PJs!

Fast Car Driving Experience!

Hey Dolls,

This week I’m going to be sharing something a bit different to the usual beauty and fashion! I’ve always loved super cars that go fast so my parents got me a ‘Super car driving experience day’. I was one of the only girls that but that didn’t bother me in the slightest!

My day was at Lyndhurst Race Circuit but you can do them all over the country with a range of different cars! So after signing in it and a demo lap to familiarise with the circuit it was time to wait in the ‘pits’ to drive my first car!

The first car I drove was a classic red Ferrari 458 and it just so happened that my playsuit was the same colour as the car! I enjoyed driving the Ferrari but it didn’t feel that different from a normal car, just faster and more powerful! My dad also drove a couple of cars and I was especially pleased with the fact that I was rated a better driver than him!

The 2nd car I drove was a car that I have always had on my unrealistic wish list- the Lamborghini Aventador! The one I drove was orange, however my dream Lambo is the classic mango yellow!

The Lamborghini was a completely different driving experience to anything I have driven before. I really felt like I was driving a super car and the noise it made was sublime! I would still love to own a Lamborghini!

If you are in to cars I would highly recommend it!

Also sorry for the gap in posts dodgy wifi on holiday caused me problems!

Look out next week for my new bag buy!

NYX Ultimate Brights Palette

Hey Dolls,

I’m back after a break filled with uni assignments and presentations so let’s get back to talking about beauty! This week I’m reviewing the NYX Ultimate Brights Palette!

IMG_0156

This palette is not only affordable but is really pigmented and the perfect eyeshadow palette for bright looks, pops of colour and even everyday looks using some of the orange shades.

IMG_0157

I was very impressed with the pigment and blendability of the shades, the colours are also buildable so you can create everything from a subtle look to a bright bold eye! The shade range in the palette is also great with everything from yellows to links to blue and greens. If you buy one palette with bright shades in I would highly recommend this one!

Charlotte Tilbury: Instant Look Palette!

Hey Dolls,

This week I’m going to be reviewing the Charlotte Tilbury’s Instant Look in a Pallette, so let’s go!

I chose the “Beauty Glow” shade of the palette, and oh my I have not been disappointed, literally since the palette arrived on my door step I have used it for my makeup EVERY day!

IMG_0150

The palette contains 3 eye shadows, 2 blushes, a bronzer and highlight- let’s start with the shadows!

The 3 shadows are in brightening, enhancing and smoke- a pearly white, shimmery bronze and Matte medium brown. The shadows are super pigmented creamy and bendable and last all day without any movement.

Next up bronze and highlight, the bronzer is a perfect shade not too orange or too cool toned and the highlight is a beautiful subtle gold buttery shade that provides the perfect glow!

Along with a huge mirror the palette is completed by Charlotte’s signature swish and pop blush combo resulting in the perfect easy makeup look in one palette. Once again Charlotte Tilbury has smashed it!

Highly recommend you pop this on your Christmas list!

Review: Rimmel Eyeshadow Palette!

Hey Dolls,

This week is a review of Rimmel Magnificent Eyes Shadow Palette in the shade London  Nudes Calling.

IMG_0079

The reason I picked up this palette was because it had several pinky shades and from the packaging a lot of them looked Matte, and for £7.99 I thought I’d give it a go as I normally love Rimmel Products.

IMG_0080

On closer inspection there are only 2 Matte shades, a pink and black/brown. The pink shade is not very pigmented and hardly shows up whilst the other Matte shade is chalky and doesn’t blend that well.

IMG_0081

The shimmers on the other hand are all very pretty, the second half of the palette and the darker shades being much more pigmented. The first 6 shades I have to build up in order to get the desired finish.

IMG_0082

Unfortunately I was disappointed by this palette and don’t feel it matches up to the quality of Rimmels other products which I love, I haven’t found myself reaching for this palette as it’s hard to create looks as I like my crease colours to be Matte, if you love shimmer all over the lid or a drugstore shimmer palette I would recommend but as an alrounder I wouldn’t recommend which is a shame as it is a perfect travel size palette.
