My Designer Wish List!

Hey Dolls,

This week I thought I’d share with you my dream designer purchases, they aren’t in any particular order but these are the things I would love to buy in the future.

First up is the classic Chanel bag, I’m not sure what size I would like but I have always wanted to own one. An iconic bag, perfect for any outfit!chanel bag

Staying with bags, I have always loved Louis Vuitton and from a very young age have dreamed of owning Louis Vuitton luggage in particular the Keepall 60. I don’t want a suitcase as I would be worried about it being damaged at airports!

My final bag I would love to own is the Prada Galleria bag, another classic, which I would use as my work bag (when I graduate and get a job!)

Onto shoes, I have 3 pairs of designer shoes I would love to own and the brands they are from are Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik and Christian Louboutin.

From Jimmy Choo I would love a nude pair of Romy 85’s, a sensible height and classic style!

From Christian Louboutin, Fifi Patent 100, again classic and perfect for every outfit from day to night!

A less practical shoe but there was a reason Carrie Bradshaw loves them, Manolo Blahnik create classic styles with added bling, basically my dream shoe! The style I love is Olek in black- simple, classy and elegant!

Hey Dolls,

So a couple of weeks ago my bestie from Wales came to visit for a week and I took her into London for a day of sightseeing, here’s what we got up to!

pre london

We started on by visiting Madame Tussauds, were we took a tonne of selfies with celebs!

Madame Tussauds

Then we hopped on a tube to Bucking Palace to meet the Queen (as if! but she was in), as it was a super hot day we then decided to walk to South Bank.

Along the way we saw Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey!

Next up it was time for a fuel stop, we went to the Riverfront and shared nachos and meatballs (they were so yummy) as well as a bottle of Rose!

Then it was time for the London Eye, one of the best ways to see a lot of London (we pre-booked tickets and got a combo to include our Madame Tussauds ticket)

As it was so hot we grabbed a slushy and watch a street performer before heading to Covent Garden for dinner.

After a yummy dinner in Browns, we went to my family’s favourite wine bar in St Martin’s Courtyard, Dalla Terra for Bellini’s!

All about: Nails!

Hey Dolls,

This post is the first in the series of posts in which I speak to industry professionals about a range of topics!

First up is Nails, I spoke to the lovely Tanith from The Beauty Yard in Chelmsford!

I always have my nails done here so I asked Tanith for her top 5 nail tips, and here they are:

  1. Always use a base and top coat- not only will it prolong the nail varnish it will prevent your nails getting stained. You can get a variety to suit different needs for example nail strengthening
  2. Use Cuticle Oil- using cuticle oil regularly will keep both your cuticle and nails healthy
  3. Don’t over buff- overbuffing your nails removes layers of your nail and causes damage to your nail beds
  4. No picking!- Don’t pick your gel nails, nails or skin around the nail as it will cause damage
  5. Moisturise your nails and hands daily- moisturising daily will keep your hands and nails healthy!

Thats all for this week, also in the series I will be talking to hair stylists, makeup artists and more beauty experts!

GRWM: Summer Wedding Guest

Hey Dolls,

This week I’m going to take you through getting ready for a family friend’s wedding from hair to shoes, lets go!

First up was hair, me being me no way was I having the stress of doing it myself so the lovely stylist Maria came to my rescue! I went for a up do with on trend braiding and a few loose pieces.

Usually for an event I would have my makeup done professionally, but unfortunately my usual artist was already fully booked (she’s fab so I understand why!) so it was down to me!

As I was wearing a pink and cream outfit I wanted the makeup to compliment it so decided for a pink/champagne eye with a pink gloss (easier maintance). I started with eyes and to achieve the look I wanted had to use an array of shadows and some blushes! Here’s the shadow list not in order: Makeup Geek – peach smoothie, whimsical, MG Blush- head over heels, romance, Too Faced- Strawberry Bon Bon, Tartelette- caregiver, wanderer, Bobbi Brown blush in 41. For glitter I used Too faced glitter glue as a base with Barry M snowglobe. Liner was brown as softer and L’Oréal infallible finishing with Eyelure Luxe Lashes in Trinket!

On my brows I used Benefit precisely brow in shade 3, ABH clear brow gel and the light shade in sleek contour palette to carve out.

Review: Rimmel Eyeshadow Palette!

Hey Dolls,

This week is a review of Rimmel Magnificent Eyes Shadow Palette in the shade London  Nudes Calling.

IMG_0079

The reason I picked up this palette was because it had several pinky shades and from the packaging a lot of them looked Matte, and for £7.99 I thought I’d give it a go as I normally love Rimmel Products.

IMG_0080

On closer inspection there are only 2 Matte shades, a pink and black/brown. The pink shade is not very pigmented and hardly shows up whilst the other Matte shade is chalky and doesn’t blend that well.

IMG_0081

The shimmers on the other hand are all very pretty, the second half of the palette and the darker shades being much more pigmented. The first 6 shades I have to build up in order to get the desired finish.

IMG_0082

Unfortunately I was disappointed by this palette and don’t feel it matches up to the quality of Rimmels other products which I love, I haven’t found myself reaching for this palette as it’s hard to create looks as I like my crease colours to be Matte, if you love shimmer all over the lid or a drugstore shimmer palette I would recommend but as an alrounder I wouldn’t recommend which is a shame as it is a perfect travel size palette.

Ciao Bella’s,
