Clothing Haul: SALES!

Hey Dolls,

Last week I took a trip to Bluewater and found some great items in the sale, take a look at what I found!

First up Zara, I prefer buying things from Zara in the sale as the majority of their stock eventually goes into sale so here’s what I got: This lovely grey light weight knit dress with a ruffle on the sleeve (£12.99), Cream Blazer with split sleeves (£19.99) and a rusty orange asymmetric dress (£17.99)

Bluewater now holds the 2md Misguided store and I was super excited to see what was inside, I wasn’t disappointed! I found a lovely white loose fitting top with a ruffle neck line (£10.50), a pair of ruffle trousers in my favourite mint green (£12.50) and a necklace for the bargain price of (£3.50)

In need of some new gym wear I decided to see what House of Fraser had to offer (after browsing the whole store, I love HoF!) I found some hidden gems. First up a grey longline Calvin Klein vest (£17), to match the top I also got a pair of grey crop leggings with Tiffany blue accents from label lab (£12). Then onto the blue outfit, the top is from Biba and has a split open back (£12) but my biggest bargain of the day was the bottoms which I got from Victoria’s Secret, these blue knockout capris were reduced from £60 to £13.50!!!!

My final item was one I ordered from ASOS, these baby pink wedges to wear to a wedding I am going to later this month, they are super comfy (I had to wear them in) and match perfectly with my dress (summer wedding guest GRWM coming soon!) and they were reduced to £25.

Some sales are still on so go and see if you can bag a bargain!

Lush Event: Diamonds in the Rough

Hey Dolls,

On Sunday my friend Sophie and I were lucky enough to attend a Lush event where we were pampered for the morning. The staff were fantastic and we had a fantastic time, so let’s get started!

This event was all about show casing the products that sometimes get forgotten about, starting off with shower gel we sampled “Plum Rain” and “Wash that man right out” which both smelt amazing.

Next up was scrubs and oh my life “Life’s a beach” powdered body scrub is amazing and smells like the Caribbean, it left our hands feeling super silky. This was followed by “African Paradise” body conditioner which added to the softness off our skin.

Then it was time for treatments, I had a Foot treatment using “Pumice Power” , “Volcano”, “Go faster feet” and “Twinkle Toes”. After my feet felt amazing! Sophie had an arm massage using a massage bar!

Our second treatment was a Hot Oil hair treatment using “Tangled” and “Damaged”. The oils were melted down, left to cool then applied to our hair like a hair mask and left for 20 minutes. They were then washed off and our hair was dried leaving our hair feeling silky and soft!

Finally we had a play with some face masks and skincare products, we sampled both fresh and potted face masks, toners and moisturises.

We had a great time and got a fantastic goody bag filled with a variety of treats!

Head down to your local Lush store and try some different products, you won’t be disappointed!

10 Most used Holiday Beauty Products!

Hey Dolls,

After returning from Spain I thought I’d give you a run down of the products I used the most.

First up skincare: After a long day in the sun its important to rehydrate your skin and for the past 2 years I’ve been loving the ‘Garnier Amber Solaire After Sun with Aloe Vera’. Its super cooling and dries quickly but leaves your skin feeling hydrated and it also helps prevent peeling and prolonging your tan.

The second product I have recently discovered has very quickly become one of my favourites. On holiday I always get dry feet due to the heat and the cream I have been loving is ‘L’Occitane Creme Pieds dry skin Foot Cream’. It has Shea butter in which helps to keep your feet soft and hydrated. I definitely think this was worth the luxury price tag.

My final most used skin care product is a cult classic that I never travel without and that is the ‘Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream’. This is the only think that stops my lips drying out and is also great for dry hands, definitely should be a staple in everyones suitcase!

Next up Makeup Face Base: Holiday or no holiday the one primer that comes with me wherever I go is of course ‘Too Faced Hangover’ you guys know how much I love this product so I’m not going to go on about it haha!

Another favourite of mine is the ‘Garnier BB Cream’, I much prefer using a BB cream on holiday than foundation as it is much lighter and foundation is just too much when its 30+ degrees! This BB cream gives just the right amount of coverage and a lovely natural finish.

An oldie but a goodie is ‘Benefit Hello Flawless Powder’ it adds a lovely bit of extra coverage without turning your face super matte which I definitely don’t want on holiday.

Final product is a new one, ‘Rimmel Good to Glow Highlighter in Soho Glow’ this highlight gives a lovely bronze glow to the cheeks and is also great to mix into primer or my BB cream for that extra summer glow.

Finally is eyes and lips: I took the ‘Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette’ as it has a lovely range of mattes and shimmers and I always go for warm eyes on holiday and this pallette has some lovely warm browns, definitely a cult classic.

My second product in this category is ‘Tom Ford Lip Colour in 22 Patrick’. Ok I know this is definitely a luxury splurge product but oh my god I adore this colour and the formula and just everything about it! Tom Ford definitely knows how to create summer lip colours.

My final product which has to go on holiday is ‘Urban Decay All Nighter Spray’ no make up is gonna move from your face once you’ve sprayed this all over it!

My Holiday Washbag!

Hey Dolls,

This week I thought I’d tell you what I take in my holiday wash bag to help you guys out if you have a holiday coming up!

washbag

Right lets start with with facial skincare:face

I took minis of all my usual Liz Earle skin care which was great as it saved space and made packing what I needed super easy. I also took a mini Micellar water to remove my makeup and clean my face at the end of each day to freshen up as I find makeup wipes dry out my skin. To keep my lips from cracking in the heat I took my lush lip scrub in mint julips which I use all the time and love it! My eyes also get dry after flying so I always take an eye spray.

hair

Next onto hair! As well as what is pictured above I took a bottle of Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Moisturising Shampoo and Conditioner. Back to what actually was still in the wash bag! Everyone knows if you have long hair the sun and heat makes it so dry! To solve this one I took one of my fave brands Mark Hills Miracoilous Moroccan Argan Oil, smells amazing and works a treat.

Next up is Charles Worthington Sunshine Protector Salt Spray, this was great for leaving my hair to dry naturally into beachy waves and it also has some protection for your hair against sun damage.

Two Tresemme products were in my case, the mini heat protection spray which I used when I wanted to curl my hair. The second was the mini hairspray, I have always loved this hairspray as it gives great hold and brushes out easily without leaving your hair feeling sticky.

Finally for hair was my new favourite Dry Bar Detox Dry Shampoo, love this product! Well worth the hype and is fab for the in between hair wash freshen up!

random washbag

The final few bits in my washbag are a bit random! Toothpaste obviously an essential, some Voltarol because its always good to have a Venus Snap razor perfect for travelling as it keeps it clean and stops the moisture bars getting stuck to everything else in your bag! The final thing is the Sonic electric toothbrush which is so good and perfect for travelling!

Hope this helps you when packing!

Hey Dolls,

This week I’m gonna tell you what my 4 go to glam outfits are that make me feel fab!

First up is this Khaki Midi dress from Misguided! I love this dress because it isn’t revealing but is still super flattering due to the criss cross detail on the top. I also love the suede effect fabric!

UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_441e

My second go to should be a wardrobe staple for any girl! I absolutely adore this black jumpsuit its so comfy and super flattering/easy to wear! This outfit is also from Misguided and paired with statement heels is the perfect night out outfit.

Third choice is this dress from Ralph Lauren, this dress is perfect for a more formal occasion like a christening as its definitely more sophisticated. I can say this dress was well worth what I paid for it as I have worn it loads!

My final go to is this orangey red dress from Coast, I had this dress for my 16th Birthday and over the 3 years I’ve had it I’ve worn it lots! This has been another dress I have that has been well worth the price tag!
