All About Skin Care

Hey Dolls,

It’s Skin care routine time!!

I am a massive advocate of a good skincare routine, I think you should start young! So here is my daily and once a week skincare routine. Most of the products I use are Clarins because they work well for my skin but I do use a couple of other brands!

So at the end of the day the first thing I do when I get in is tie my hair up and get that makeup off! I begin using the Garnier Micellar water with cotton pads to remove the majority of my makeup. Next up comes the cleanse, I personally like to double cleanse so I can ensure my skin is super clean. My first cleanse is the one which I use all over my face and eyes to make sure their is no mascara left, I swear by this cleanser and am on my 3rd pot of the biggest size! Its the Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm and OMG it is like magic, I mix a pea size amount with a little water, rub it all over my face then rinse it using the cloth is comes with and warm water. The second cleanse is my deep clean, I apply a pea size amount of the Clarins Gentle Foaming cleanser to my palm and mix it with water before putting it all over my face but not my eyes as they are super delicate and can have 1 cleanse. Then I take my Magnitone Cleansing Brush under the tap to get it nice and wet, the thing I love about this brush is that it takes no time to use and beeps when that section of your face is done! The final part of the cleaning is  to scrub my lips with any lush lip scrub to remove any leftover lipstick and ensure soft smooth lips!

Time to moisturise! I start with the Pore Minimising Serum in my T-Zone then use the Hydraquench Moisturiser all over my face. Next on my ring finger I apply the Kiehl’s avocado eye cream all around my eye area as otherwise my eyes get super dry. Finally I apply my holy grail Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour lip balm. And that’s the daily cleanse done! (takes around 10-15mins but so worth it in the long term)

Once a week, I will extend this routine to a super cleanse! So after doing all of the above except for the moisturising I grab my Orange Extract face scrub and get rid off all the dead skin on my face! I then apply the Pure and  Radiant Mask and relax for 10 minutes. After washing that off I use some toning lotion before applying a face oil and letting it sink in for 5-10minutes. Then I follow my normal moisturising routine.IMG_0290

Compared to my friends who don’t have a skincare routine, I have much better skin, I hardly ever get breakouts (only if I’m stressed or its that time) and will happily go out with no makeup on! You only have one face girls so invest in it!!

Mini Charlotte Tilbury Haul!

Hey Dolls,

I have a mini makeup haul for you beautiful people today!

Like many girls I absolutely love Charlotte Tilbury’s makeup range, her products and packaging are gorgeous however her products are quite pricey so I decided to treat myself after a very stressful term at Sixth Form of coursework, mocks and revision.

I decided to take the plunge and purchase 4 makeup products and a new liner sharpener as I was in desperate need of a new one which was good quality after having lots snap and break which sucks!

The first two products I bought were the Colour Chameleon Shadow Pencil’s. I got the two for brown eyes in Dark Pearl (top left swatch) and Amber Haze (top middle swatch). The Dark Pearl colour is for day and Amber Haze for night. Now although I have dark brown eyes I find both of these colours super dark if I just apply them all over my lid straight from the pencil for the day time so what I’ve found works really well for a softer look is applying the colour to the centre of your lid and blending it out with a big fluffy shadow brush. The colours are beautiful and super pigmented, so for me all over straight from the pencil is perfect for creating a dramatic evening look. The formula is super creamy and unlike some other cream shadow sticks I’ve tried I get absolutely no creasing or smudging especially when I use an eyeshadow primer underneath. I will definitely be purchased some more of these in the lighter colours for a perfect spring/summer day time look.

I already have a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick from the K.I.S.S.I.N.G collection in Bitch Perfect which I love and after seeing the quality I knew I needed to try a gloss as the summer months draw closer! I adore this colour which is Portobello Girl (bottom left swatch) it is just the perfect pinky peach gloss for spring and with glowing skin and soft gold eye it looks perfect! I was not disappointed with the quality of the gloss, it is one of the best pigmented glosses I’ve used, it’s not sticky and it actually lasts instead of coming off in 10 minutes like lots of other lip glosses! I will definitely be buying more!

My final product was the Film Star on the Go palette in Rebel without a Cause. Now I was so excited to use this palette but was left a little disappointed and for £42 that was not good. The packaging is stunning and the pink lip and cheek colour (bottom right swatch) is beautiful, its really pigmented and blendable. When I put it on my lips it is also really moisturising. The thing I was disappointed with was the gold shadow, when I swatched it I loved the formula it was really creamy but felt like it would go from cream to powder. However the pigmentation is rubbish for a gold shadow especially when you compare it to amber haze and Urban Decay’s Half Baked. Not only was the pigmentation not great it was super difficult to apply with a brush as I got no coverage, the same with my finger it just moved about and when I eventually got it on it creased in a few hours so I was not impressed especially as the quality and pigmentation of all the other products are bought was amazing!

But I would 100% recommend any of the other products I purchased!

Prada Shoe’s

Hey Dolls!

Today I’m going to be reviewing and telling you all about my Prada Shoes!

These were my first proper pair of designer shoes, I have several pairs from good quality brands such as Kurt Geiger but I was super excited when I finally purchased these classic beauties. So let me tell you all about them!

The Shoes

These are the black round toe heels with a 10.5cm/4inch heel with a little platform. I ordered them online which was risky and as I am between a size 4 and 5 (37/38) I went for a 37.5(4.5). They are a little bit big so I have put an insole in them and they are fine so I would definitely recommend getting a smaller size. They are black leather with the classic beige sole and gold Prada logo on the sole.

Price

The shoes retail for £495, which I know is a lot by on the lower end of price range for high end designer shoes. I bought them as a 18th birthday present to myself and decided to see if I could save a little bit of money and after some searching I was successful. I ordered my shoes from secretsales.com for £295 which I was super happy with. If you have been lusting after an item that is out of reach due to the price tag I would 100% recommend looking on secretsales.com as I could not fault their service, especially when I was worried they wouldn’t arrive in time to wear for my party and I sent them an email. They responded by upgrading my delivery free of charge!

What i found inside

Comfort

The shoes have such soft leather and are very comfortable as the heel is not ridiculously high and they have a little platform. I have tried on Louboutins in the past and found for the price that the leather was hard and the shoes were super uncomfortable. I would definitely recommend Prada or Jimmy Choo as a first pair of designer shoes if you are a shoe lover!
