Liz Earle Skincare Unboxing

Hey Dolls,

For this weeks post I thought I’d do something a bit different. I ordered a bunch of new skincare as mine has run out and decided to give the Liz Earle range a go!

I ordered 4 products and also got 2 muslin clothes and a sample of their fragrance free.

opened-box

This is what I saw when I opened the box! I love the packaging of the products so let’s look at each one in more detail. This is her Daily Routine set which is £45, personally I think thats great value when the cleanser on its own is normally £26!!

First up is the infamous Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser- I’ve used this before and love it! It’s perfect for removing makeup even mascara, it’s in my top 2 cleansers the other being Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm.

The other products I haven’t used before but have heard great things!

In my old skin care routine I didn’t use a toner so I’m excited to give the Instant Boost Skin Tonic a go! It smells incredible and is packed full of natural ingredients such as aloe vera, cucumber and chamomile to leave your skin feeling fresh and rejuvenated!

When it comes to moisturiser I am super picky! I like a really hydrating moisturiser, that isn’t too thick and doesn’t make my combination/oily skin look oilier! The moisturiser I got was the Skin Repair Light Moisturiser for combination/oily skin. First of all I love that its in a pump because I personally feel pots of cream are unhygienic and messy! It feels so nice on my hand I can’t wait to try it on my face!

And finally the Superskin Eye Cream, something I am very picky about. I’ve only found 2 eye creams I like which are the Simple Soothing Eye Balm and the Kiehls Creamy Avocado Eye cream. I have dark circles and dry eyes so need something that combats both and I’m hoping this will be added to my list! Again packed with natural ingredients including pomegranate and green tea to combat dark circles!

I’ll post an update in a month of how I’m finding the products!

Uni Makeup Brush Collection!

Hey Dolls,

This week is all about brushes!

As a makeup lover moving to uni was hard because not only did I have to cut down my collection of products I also needed a set of brushes for uni so I didn’t have to take brushes with me every time I went home!

I needed something affordable with a good selection of face and eye brushes, so I decided to go with Morphe.

After ages trying to decide what to buy I went for thea 15 piece set that is no longer available but the closest I could fin was the 15 piece vegan pro set (RRP £50 available at cult beauty.co.uk) and also got myself a Morphe B86 Kabuki brush to use with my cream bronzer.

In my set I have-

Face- S13, S15, S3 and S64

Eyes- S21, S30, S4, S25, S12, S28, S20, S8, S26, S11 and S27

I absolutely love every single one of these brushes and think they are great value for money!

I also have a couple of extra brushes which are the Real Techniques Concealer Brush and Bold Metals 301 contour brush, as well as 2 brushes from Spectrum which I got at the Clothes Show- the Luxe Powder Brush (A00) which I looveeee for my bronzer and then the unicorn amazing fan brush (Get Lit C00) which is the most bomb brush for highlight I have every used! Spectrum Brushes are amazing and I would definitely buy more!

Nicole Guerriero x ABH Glow Kit Review!

Hey Dolls,

OMG this palette is incredible!! After seeing the swatches and reviews from other bloggers and YouTubers I knew I needed to get this!

To begin with the packaging is gorgeous! Pale pink with silver sparkle = win!

FullSizeRender 2

The shades in this palette are stunning, pink and gold tones with one white.

Let’s talk about the colours: Kitty Kat- a pink with silver shimmer, Forever Young-muted pink/champagne, Day Dream- Peach with a gold undertone, Forever Lit-pearly white, Glo Getter- Rose gold with champagne and 143- bronze with gold shimmer.

The highlights are super pigmented and really creamy making them look amazing on you cheek bones, they also looked lovely when you mix different shades together.

All these shades are stunning and look amazing on my skin tone, however if you are very pale this palette probably isn’t for you are the shades are quite warm.

I ordered my palette from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Uk website and it came in 3 working days even though estimated delivery was 7-10 so I am very impressed.

I would definitely recommend this palette and think it will become my go to for my highlight!

5 Tips to make life happier!

Hey Dolls,

This week I thought I’d share with you the ways I think you can make your life happier.

  1. Surround yourself with positive people- it’s time to get rid of those toxic friendships and people who make you feel bad about yourself. Be sure to surround yourself with people who try to look on the bright side no matter the situation
  2. Keep Active- its a well know fact that exercise releases endorphins aka ‘the happy hormone’! Try to do some kind of exercise at least twice a week whether its a run or dance class
  3. Organise!- Anyone who knows me knows I am the queen of organisation! Organisation is key if you want to live a stress free life! Go and get yourself a pretty new diary and every Sunday plan what you want to do each day for the upcoming week.
  4. Write a “thankful journal”- You can buy one or make your own. Each day write 3-5 things in that day you have been thankful for then when you are having a down day flick through it and see all the things you have to be happy about
  5. Give compliments- Everyone loves to receive a compliment so make someones day by making them feel good about themselves, the fact that you put a smile on their face will automatically cheer you up!

I hope you all have a fantastic week and I will see you next Friday when I will be sharing my favourite smoothies with you!
